Today as we celebrate International Women's Day, I thought it a good time for me to reflect on why it is so awesome to be a woman. I know we all know it ๐Ÿ‘Š, but every now and then it is worth taking time to put pen to paper... NOTE: this is not necessarily my top five, more my top five I reflected on today. I am sure tomorrow's list would be different again...(I am a woman I get to change my mind right?!)

1.We can create little humans
We have the privilege and ability to carry a little human inside our tummies. I know for some of us this can be a difficult journey, and for others a walk in the park, but what it is is miraculous. I look at my children today and still cannot believe that not only did I (with a little help from my husband!) create them, but grew them and nourished them into little humans who now walk this earth. Truly amazing. I will forever more be so proud of my body and it's ability to create and sustain life.

2. We are serious multi-taskers
We have the insane ability to multi-task. I am not saying here that the other sex can't ๐Ÿ˜œ- I am just pointing out that we can ๐Ÿคฃ. Yes I can listen to three children, cook dinner and help with homework all at the same time. Any more questions?

3. We can find things.
To this day I don't know if I am the only one who knows where everything is because I am the only one that puts everything away, or whether it is simply an uncanny ability to snapshot each room in my memory and remember it's contents. It is true I am unable to remember each child's name and will often run through all of them until I cal them the right one, but ask me where that black fidget spinner is and I will let you know it is on the second shelf behind Beak the Beanie Boo in your room.

4. We have the ability to cry at anything...
Okay this is definitely a skill I have improved on since having kids. What is with that? I can cry at the site of a mum holding her new bubba on a Telstra commercial or when someone wins a gold medal or simply when someone else is crying. What this does mean is I am now more than capable of freely expressing my emotions...

5. Our girlfriends are our tribe.
My girlfriends keep me sane, happy and supported. They make me laugh and giggle, they stand behind me when times are tough, they give advice when I need it, they listen to me carry on and babysit my kids whenย life gets in the way.
